ATV VEHICLE PRODUCTION FACILITY CASE STUDY

Challenge

Poor lighting conditions and ongoing maintenance of fluorescent T-8 Lights in a manufacturing facility that produces both on and offroad recreational and ATV vehicles.

Opportunity

US Tsubaki proposed that their customer replace the outdated T8 lighting with Horner Lighting Groups powerhouse linear high bay fixture model ETG-WLL-3240 which generates over 39,000 lumens and is designed for industrial applications.

Solution

The customer not only purchased the White Linear fixtures, but also replaced outdated task lighting using two of Horner’s ETG-WLL-1080 single lamp fixtures in an end-to-end configuration with a motion sensor, which greatly improved the workstation lighting for all personnel in those areas. The proposed solution yields vastly superior lighting than the previous system, giving the customer a brighter and safer work environment. The solution also generated enough energy and maintenance savings to provide the customer with a strong ROI that resulted in a 1.86 year payback. US Tsubaki coordinated all work in a manner which had minimal impact upon their customer’s production schedule, even though the lights are on at the plant 24 hours/7 days a week.
